Exploring Caregiver Support: Common Questions

Caregiver, help, services

If you’ve made the decision to begin care, you probably have a lot of questions. Luckily, we have answers! Following are some of the most common questions we hear:

Will I have the same caregiver every day?

Our goal is to match clients with the person who can best meet their needs, and whose personality is a good fit. Once that is achieved, we strive to ensure consistency in the caregivers who are scheduled. Clients may have 2-3 caregivers who rotate their time, so multiple people are acquainted with the client and available to help.

What kind of help will you provide? And what will it cost?

Angels completes an in-depth assessment with each client to understand his or her concerns, as well as to identify opportunities to improve quality of life. A service plan is tailored to each client, ensuring that his or her unique needs are met, and giving us the greatest opportunity to provide exceptional care. Costs are aligned with the service plan, and are discussed during the free, in-home assessment.

How do you select caregivers?

We are highly selective in choosing caregivers. We look for people who have the compassion and dedication to care for others, as well as the relevant skills and knowledge. Each of our caregivers go through a strict screening process, including a criminal background check, and a test to ensure their values align with ours.

What are your caregivers’ qualifications?

Our caregivers typically have a minimum of one year of experience, and some are licensed as a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) or a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA).  As an organization, we are always searching for ways to foster the sharing of experience and assist with skill-building opportunities amongst caregivers.

Where do you offer services?

Angels serves clients and their families in Lafayette. We currently provide care to over 15 counties in Central Indiana, with offices in Lafayette and Indianapolis. Our Florida offices are located in Boca Raton, Fort Myers, Sarasota, Stuart/Port St. Lucie, and The Villages.
