We are grateful this season because the government may be making some funds available to help homecare providers. We do not have any specifics about the amounts or timing of the funds, but if they are awarded, we plan to use them to provide merited increases to our caregivers during their annual reviews as this will help ensure our wages are competitive in the marketplace. The funds will also allow us to provide occasional, modest recognition bonuses. These bonuses award our direct service team members who deliver on our service promises while demonstrating our core values of integrity, compassion, and effectiveness. Lastly, the funds will benefit our caregivers by ensuring our HR team is able to attract, retain and support the best direct workforce talent and by helping to cover the costs of providing health insurance to caregivers.
